For me, gluten, lactose and my body are not getting along. Did you know that approximately 65 percent of the human population has a reduced ability to digest lactose after infancy. Also, gluten makes us bloated, tired, moody, and for some people it is even dangerous. It causes celiac disease – an autoimmune disorder in which the body reacts to gluten – it’s a classic food allergy marked by skin, respiratory or gastrointestinal reactions to wheat allergens. I don’t have celiac disease or allergies, but I have listened to my body when it wasn’t happy everytime I drank cow milk, ate bread, pasta or every other thing with gluten. I was bloated, lazy, tired and that’s something I can’t stand. I like to have my digestion regular and proper!
If you feel there’s something wrong with your body, have a bad skin, cramps, allergies etc., I would highly recommend you to go on food intolerance test and see what doesn’t fit you. In traditional Chinese medicine people use face reading to discern the state of your overall health. Here are only a few, most common signs that there is something wrong with your body :
Dry or flaky skin & lips
This is a common warning sign of dehydration. It may also indicate a more serious problem that affects sweat gland function, such as hypothyroidism (marked by insufficient levels of thyroid hormone) or diabetes
Eye bags and puffiness
Tired-looking eyes could be a red flag for chronic allergies, which dilate blood vessels and cause them to leak. It also means you have problems with kidneys.
Discolored complexion on skin and eyes
Even slight changes may indicate that something may be wrong. Paleness could be a sign of anemia. A yellow tone or yellow eye whites could indicate liver disease. A bluish tint in lips or nail beds could indicate heart or lung disease.
Rashes and blotches
Certain digestive problems may show up on skin. Itchy clusters of red bumps could indicate celiac disease. A butterfly-shaped rash across the cheekbones and over the bridge of the nose can be a sign of lupus, an autoimmune disease. Allergies, eczema and rosacea, and certain infections can also trigger facial rashes.
If you have any of these signs you should change something in your diet. First thing you should do is stop eating sugar!
