Hello beautiful people!
First, I would like to thank you all for your support and kind words! It’s the reason why I am doing this. And of course, to share with you my life, experiences and to give you some useful advice hoping it can teach you something or just bring a smile on your face. 🙂
A few weeks ago, I talked about how I detox my body naturally. How I made a full body cleanse with the anti-parasite program following Dr. Hulda Clark’s protocols. If you haven’t done it yet (I would reallyyy recommend you to) or if you feel like it is too hard or not right for you, try these 6 ways to help you detox your body!
I know it is hard to even think that there is no meat in your diet, and you probably think – What the heck is wrong with you?? – but just give it a try for at least a month and for sure you will look better and feel a big difference!
If you don’t know this already, your body maintains a delicate acid-alkaline balance. The pH (potential hydrogen) scale measures how acidic or alkaline our body’s fluids and tissues are and ranges from 0 to 14. Seven is neutral. Below 7 becomes increasingly acidic, above 7 increasingly alkaline.
You probably feel when your body is acidic, because when it is, you are susceptible to bacteria, viruses and ultimately, various diseases.
Apart from what causes in your body, in most countries the meat is full of antibiotics, sedatives, growth hormones, and chemical feed mixtures, especially in the USA. Most of the antibiotics produced in the USA go into the feedstuff of animals.
So let’s make this simple. Food that causes an acidic reaction in your body and is not recommended are :
- Dairy products
- most grains, especially wheat ( everything that is made with white flour)
- processed foods, like canned and packaged snacks
- convenience foods
- refined sugar
2. Fruit & veggie juice cleanse
My first ever body detox was with fruit and veggie juices. Because the first time is always the hardest, I manage to reach only 5 days with juices. It means I didn’t eat at all, and I got all the important nutrients from vegetables.
At first, I was soo hungry, but after day 2, it was not so bad. Start your day with fruits like apples, oranges, grapefruit, bananas, lemons, limes, pineapple, ginger (yes, ginger is the best for detox!)… whatever you like.
For lunch make yourself some yummy vegetable juice.
Red – beatroot, carrot, mint leaves, apple
Green – Spinach, mangel, celery, apple or pear, lemon, carrot, himalayan salt ( or you can mix whatever you have that is a green vegetable!
After lunch, before dinner and for dinner you can combine some of these ingredients
Raspberry, blueberry, orange, pineapple, banana, dates, apple
Orange, tangerine, cinnamon, clove, apple, turmeric (and I mean lots of it!)
Make at least 5 L of juice a day. It will keep you hydrated and you won’t be hungry. And please don’t forget to drink plenty of WATER! Bare in mind that vegetable is much more effective in body detoxification because fruit, no matter how healthy, it is full of natural sugar fructose and we don’t need so much sugar when we are in our full body detox.
So, more veggies less berries! (I was just tryin to make a catchy rhyme hehe!)
When I want to have a juice detox, I always go to my favorite health shop Juice Box. The lovely ladies always make me the best juices. If you don’t have your local juice store, make them yourself at home. Home made juices are the best 🙂
3. Lemon Water cleanse
Yes, it is the hardest and it is similar to water fast. I manage to do a 4 day lemon water cleanse but it is recommended to do it for 10 days to eliminate all toxins from your body. But I have to say I noticed a big difference on my body even after 4 days! My skin became cleaner, brighter, softer, I lost 9 pounds ( it is normal because lemon water burns calories and fat)
Drink approx. 5 L of warm water with lemon a day. Yes, WARM water!
During the extent of the cleanse, it is normal to experience light fatigue, and possible breakouts. This is a natural response to your body releasing and flushing toxins from your body. Then, after your body has officially shed its toxins, you can slowly reintroduce other foods.
If you feel like you can’t do it anymore, you can stop. But be careful, if you immediately start to reintroduce food you can regain weight and all the toxins can come back faster.
So, the first day after the fast, start your day with a fruit and veggie smoothie. You can eat everything light, like soups, broths, juices, smoothies. On the second day you can start eating rice or some other grains and cooked vegetables.
Then, after your body has officially shed its toxins, you can slowly reintroduce other foods.
4. Dry-brush your skin
One third of your body’s toxins are excreted through the skin, the largest organ. So the best way to clean your skin is to dry-brush it!
It has a lot of benefits such as : It stimulates your lymphatic system, helps to reduce cellulite (yaaass!), unclogs pores and de-congests skin, exfoliate dead skin, improve digestion and kidney function…
You will need a high-quality dry brush that you can find at natural products stores. Look for one made from natural materials and with a long handle so you can reach your entire back and other hard-to-reach spots.
It is best to use it before the morning shower (or before any shower, but avoid doing it too close to bedtime, as it may leave you feeling energized). Start brushing at your feet in the direction of your heart (it is the best for circulation and your lymphatic system) and work your way up your legs to your arms, chest, back, and stomach. Avoid brushing your face (unless you have a special brush designed for this delicate skin), your genitals, or any areas with irritations or abrasions.
Try incorporating it into your normal daily routine, and use it daily for best results. You will get hooked for sure!!!
You can also try detox foot spas/foot baths to remove toxins through your pores.
5. Clean your lungs
If you are a smoker or feel like you don’t breathe well these are the best 2 ways for lung detoxification.
Breathe deeply to allow oxygen to circulate more completely through your system. Take a standing position. Be relaxed. Keep your arms at your sides and your feet slightly apart. This is best to do in the morning when the air is fresh.
Take a few deep breaths and exhale through the nose. Breathe in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth until you cannot exhale anymore.
Force your diaphragm to exhale all the air from your lungs with wheezing. Several times exhale through the mouth with a “ha ha ha ”
until you feel there is no more air in the lungs.
At this point you will feel you have pulled in your belly toward the spine. Through the nose, slowly inhale fresh, clean air in your empty lungs.
Repeat it several times. Do this breathing excercise every morning!
Inhalation with essential oils
It is the easiest and the most relaxing way of cleaning your body! Simply heat some water in a large pot, add a few drops of natural essential oils and throw a towel over your head as you inhale. Repeat it two or three times per week.
You can use essential oils of eucalyptus, peppermint, rosemary or thyme. This will help you quickly cleanse the lungs of toxins and excess mucus. You can also use it if you have flu, colds, bronchitis, laryngitis, and other respiratory illnesses.
6. Change your diet into whole, bioavailable organic foods
If you eat animal food, than eat animal-based omega-3 fats
Try to eat ideally fresh, organic, and locally grown vegetables. Fermented vegetables are even better as they can be made with the same vegetables but are converted by bacteria into superfoods. Fermented vegetables help promote the growth of friendly intestinal bacteria and aid in immune balance and digestion.
Eliminate wheat and dairy products because it creates mucus in your body and automatically changes your pH into acidic.
And that’s all folks! I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you want more tips and advice regarding this topic.
Have a lovely body detox 🙂
