Hi my little wanderers!
I just got back from London, the city I fell in love with. My best friend Sara currently lives there and I came to visit her. It is a place where everyone can express themselves and a place full of opportunity where anything is possible!
This is my guide for London – What you need to see, where to eat and shop for a cheap price and my personal favorite places!
What to see
If you are in London and haven’t seen its most important attractions such as Buckingham palace, London Eye, Big ben, Covent Garden, London Bridge, Oxford Circus…you can’t say that you’ve ever been in London!
Make sure to see the most beautiful parks – Hyde park, Green Park, The Regent’s Park, St James’s Park and Victoria Park.
The most spectacular place
A spectacular place with the most perfect view of London, where you can sit and drink coffee with your best friend or have an amazing dinner is definitely the Sky Garden. On the 35th floor of a building in Fenchurch St., you will be am-azed!
Where to eat
If you want to have delicious, large portions for a cheap price you should definitely eat at the Shoreditch market ( I will talk about it later), or also you can go to Pump street food market.
Where to shop
Carnaby Street and Oxford street. My favorite fashion stores are American Apparel, Brandy Melville, and a-must-see vintage stores Blitz and Beyond Retro. I fell in love with them simply because I really love vintage clothes and vintage things in general. You can find fashion from 20’s to 90’s, as well as my favorite – music records of all time (2 die 4).
My favorite places
There are two places I loved the most : Camden Town and Shoreditch.
Shoreditch is a district in the East End of London where old brick warehouses are transformed into the best street art you can find! My favorite place there is definitely Shoreditch market which I mentioned earlier.
While you walk through the market, you can find basically anything you can imagine! From boho, designer clothes, alternative, vintage clothes, posters, Italian leather shoes, crystals and jewelry to various kinds of food from all over the world for a cheap price!
You want to try some Ethiopian food? Or maybe, Turkish, Jamaican, Mexican, Korean food…you name it!
But there was one stand which I found the most interesting, the one with raw cakes of course! This man makes the most delicious cakes made of all natural and organic ingredients, sugar-free and dairy-free. The one I especially liked was the mango, acai, almond, pistachio and cacao one. He gave me a lot of ideas for my cakes tho, hehe!
Camden town has to be seen! While you walk through the streets of Camden, you will see colorful living houses, amazing fashion markets with clothes of any kind, and also street food for a cheap price.
I hope this was helpful guys and that you’ll enjoy London as much as I did. I will definitely live there someday!
Oh London, you stole my heart!
